Riverview, Florida – The National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dani Millikovsky as the new Regional Manager for Southern South America which includes the countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. This strategic appointment comes as part of NAUI’s ongoing commitment to expand its global footprint and deliver exceptional dive safety through education programs.
Dani Millikovsky brings a wealth of experience to this role, having been a dedicated part of the dive industry since 1995. He initially became a certified diver through CMAS in 1994, then later converted to NAUI in 1996. His decades-long relationship with NAUI includes many notable milestones. He became a NAUI Instructor in 1998 under the tutelage of NAUI Course Director Kimberley Walker and became the first Course Director in Argentina by 2000. Millikovsky has been an active member of various NAUI committees, most recently serving as the Chair for the NAUI technical sub-committee and as a member of the training committee.
Before this appointment, Millikovsky has held several key positions, including being the first Divers Alert Network (DAN) Representative for Argentina in 1999, Training Director for the hyperbaric chamber hospital at SSS-Buceo Medico Mexicano, and owner of a NAUI Career Development Center in Cozumel, Mexico. His contributions to the diving community have not gone unnoticed, with NAUI honoring him with the Outstanding Service Award in 2015 and the Continued Outstanding Service Award this year.
On his appointment, Millikovsky remarked, “I have always had great relations with all members from countries in South America. Our common language, Spanish, allows us seamless communication and an understanding of our need to progress and grow. I have had the opportunity to provide updates, workshops, and conferences in this territory and often receive questions about NAUI training. Southern South America is a huge territory, and I believe we can expand our best diving practices so that more leaders can benefit from our exceptional NAUI training programs. This is a big challenge but is worthwhile the effort to communicate why NAUI and help grow our community.”
Angelo Fiore, NAUI’s Vice President of Global Sales, enthusiastically welcomed Dani Millikovsky’s new role, stating: “Having collaborated closely with Dani for many years, I can attest to his deep-seated expertise in the diving industry and exemplary leadership skills. Riverview, Florida – La Asociación Nacional de Instructores Subacuáticos (NAUI, por sus siglas en inglés) se complace en anunciar el nombramiento de Dani Millikovsky como el nuevo Gerente Regional para el Sur de América del Sur, que incluye los países de Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay y Uruguay. Este nombramiento estratégico se produce como parte del compromiso continuo de NAUI de expandir su presencia global y brindar una seguridad de buceo excepcional a través de programas educativos
Dani Millikovsky aporta una gran experiencia a este puesto, ya que ha sido una parte dedicada de la industria del buceo desde 1995. Inicialmente se convirtió en un buzo certificado a través de CMAS en 1994, luego se convirtió en NAUI en 1996. Su relación de décadas con NAUI incluye muchos hitos notables. Se convirtió en Instructor de NAUI en 1998 bajo la tutela de la Directora de NAUIKimberley Walker y se convirtió en el primer Director de Cursos en Argentina en el año 2000. Sus contribuciones a la comunidad de buceo no han pasado desapercibidas, y NAUI lo honró con el Premio al Servicio Sobresaliente en 2015 y el Premio al Servicio Sobresaliente Continuo este año.
Sobre su nombramiento, Millikovsky comentó: “Siempre he tenido excelentes relaciones con todos los miembros de los países de América del Sur. Nuestro idioma común, el español, nos permite una comunicación fluida y una comprensión de nuestra necesidad de progresar y crecer. He tenido la oportunidad de brindar actualizaciones, talleres y conferencias en este territorio y a menudo recibo preguntas sobre la capacitación de NAUI. El sur de América del Sur es un territorio enorme, y creo que podemos expandir nuestras mejores prácticas de buceo para que más líderes puedan beneficiarse de nuestros excepcionales programas de capacitación de NAUI. Este es un gran desafío, pero vale la pena el esfuerzo de comunicar por qué NAUI y ayudar a hacer crecer nuestra comunidad”.
