The NAUI Board of Directors has taken the next step in the evolution of this gas use and has amended the NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver standards as follows: Add ‘Junior certification for ages 10 – 14 years is allowed. See ‘Policies Applying to All Courses: Junior Certification’ as reflected in both the SCUBA Diver and Advanced SCUBA Diver courses.
This change is effective immediately. NAUI Instructors will find a Jr. EANx pull-down in the online registration window. This change also applies to the EANx Program.
NAUI led the way in bringing Enriched Air Nitrox into recreational diving and officially endorsed its use for training in 1992. This was three years before any other recreational training agency accepted NITROX, again, shows how NAUI is the Definition of Diving!
