Mixed Gas Blender/O2 Tech

About this course

This course is to provide the student with the skills and knowledge needed to safely handle high pressure gases, prepare oxygen enriched air and helium-based mixes, and prepare equipment for oxygen service. Graduates are considered competent to prepare oxygen enriched air and helium-based breathing gases, and to prepare scuba equipment for oxygen service, provided that they have been authorized by the manufacturer for servicing the particular brand of equipment being placed into oxygen service.

Prerequisite

• Any active-status NAUI Instructor using NAUI support materials who:
  • Is certified as a NAUI Mixed Gas Blender and Oxygen Service Technician
  • Must be authorized by the manufacturer for servicing the particular brand of equipment being placed into oxygen service.
  • Has been evaluated by a NAUI Technical Instructor Examiner through practical knowledge examination and completed the Instructor application process and received authorization to teach this course from the NAUI Training Department.
