Dive season was just coming into full swing when Joe Lodmell (NAUI 42553) of Montgomery Scuba & Travel, Inc. took his classes down to Lake Phoenix in Virginia on the first weekend in June to complete their training. It wasn’t just the dozen students from two classes there for their open water certification divess. Lodmell had two more instructors and three NAUI leadership interns along to assist, plus a few “hangers-on” divers who came along just for the diving fun.
