In celebration of their 25th anniversary, NAUI affiliate Acquanauta Centro de Mergulho in Curitiba, conducted the first South Brazilian Meeting of Doctors and Diving Leaders in November. The conference’s presentations and discussions about safety and medicine in diving included diver medical exams, teaching diving physiology, and
connecting dive leaders and doctors. Participants included NAUI Brazil, DAN Brazil, Brazilian Society of Hyperbaric Medicine (Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina Hiperbárica – SBMH), Brazilian Association of Remote Area Medicine and Adventure Sports (Associação Brasileira de Medicina de Áreas Remotas e 
Esportes de Aventura – ABMAR), Brazilian Association of Emergency Medicine (Associação Brasileira de Medicina de Emergência – ABRAMEDE), Military Fire Department of Paraná | Tactical Relief Operations Group (Corpo de Bombeiro Militar do Paraná | Grupamento de Operações de Socorro Tático – GOST). It was a great first step toward the future.
